BFL731 new Fulltime QAD Systems Programmer
Southwest Florida Fulltime QAD Systems Programmer $80,000 max
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Progress Database Administration, Tuning, Backup and Recovery * Designing/maintaining custom tables to compliment standard code * Designing/maintaining custom applications as directed * Customizing Software using Triggers and Integrated Customization Tool (ICT) * XML Programming to develop external interfaces with MFG/PRO * Maintenance of Radio Frequency applications that interact with MFG/PRO * Installation and maintenance of third party products that interface with MFG/PRO * Maintenance and creation of laser forms for ERP system * Unix Shell Script writing and maintenance * Adding and maintaining printers on UNIX and Windows based servers * User support and training for MFG/PRO and internet interfaces * Maintain documentation and change control for all applications and customizations developed * Develop Custom Reports as needed using Progress, Cyberquery and Cognos * Manufacturing related Software implementation and support
Education and Experience: * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required * 5-7 years experience with MFG/PRO, Unix, Cognos, Automated Data Collection, Progress or related experience * Proficiency in programming using Progress, JAVA, C++, C#, .NET * Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: * Experience in streamlining and creating efficiencies through appropriate use of automation * Documentation and change control for custom programming * Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation * Experience in customizing MFG/PRO using Session and Database Triggers * Experience utilizing StreamServe laser form creation software * Experience with Unix and Linux Systems * Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus * Training, certifications, and/or coursework in Unix, JAVA, C++, C#, .NET, MFG/PRO, Progress or related experience
